Russia and Ukraine have offered to mediate, with the Ukrainian president accepting the offer and agreeing to hold talks with Russia in Turkey. Erdoںan said that Turkey is working to reduce tensions between friendly countries. The two leaders signed eight agreements, including on free trade, before British Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson arrived in Ukraine and assured Ukraine of full support. On the other hand, NATO says Russia has sent 30,000 more troops and heavy weapons to Belarus. The Kremlin says an increase in the number of US troops in the region would add to tensions.
